Yes, on arrival we will show you around the site and show you how the wood-burning stoves work, run through a few health and safety bits and bobs and inspire you with some ideas to help make the most of your stay at Surrey Hills Yurts.
Yes, you can wander through the orchard and enjoy the farm. We do, however, ask that you don’t enter any barns, buildings or paddocks where horses are grazing.
Yes! Families are very welcome and children under two can stay for free. We just ask that parents and carers take full responsibility for their children and that they are accompanied at all times by a responsible adult. We would also ask guests to bear in mind the peace and privacy of other guests.
Camping at Surrey Hills Yurts is fantastic all-year round. The wood-burning stove in your yurt will keep you warm, just bring some big jumpers, a warm jacket and wellies for winter walks.
We want to make escaping to Surrey Hills Yurts as easy as possible so we’ve included lots of extras in the price to make it a hassle-free experience. Regrettably not. For everyone’s safety and peace, no dogs or pets are allowed on site, except guide dogs.
We have a dedicated fire pit to ensure the full luxury camping experience, perfect for cooking dinner or toasting marshmallows. We ask you not to start fires anywhere else on site.
You can use the wood-burning stove inside your yurt to boil a kettle and we have both gas-fired stoves and a fire pit in the communal area for you to cook on.
There’s an easy footpath to Westcott village, which has a pub, shops and a wine bar called Bertram Bee. The walk takes around 15-20 minutes.
Yes, there is parking on site for six cars, including a disabled bay. On arrival, you can use one of wheelbarrows to transport your bags down through the woodland to your yurt if needed. We ask you to use public transport where possible to fit with our eco-vibe.
You can check-in from 4 pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 10 am on the day of departure.
Our yurt can accommodate up to 8 people.
We ask that you pay a 25% deposit to secure your booking and pay the remaining amount four weeks prior to your arrival. If you cancel we will do our best to let the yurt again and, if we do, refund the cost of your holiday in full and we will offer you alternative dates to come and experience Surrey Hills Yurts. However, if the cancellation given, is too short notice (less then 3 weeks) and we are unable to re-let the yurt I am afraid we have to keep the deposit.
We ask that there is no smoking within any of the buildings or yurts.
