SURREY HILLS YURTS 

By making the booking you agree to our terms and conditions. 

We only take bookings from adults over 18 years of age.

By booking, and acknowledging these Terms and Conditions, you are aware of the risks, hazards, and dangers of personal injury in entering the campsite and woodland.

Camping in Britain can mean dramatic variance in weather in a short period of time (“4 seasons in one day”). Whilst we supply certain facilities and equipment, as described in the inventory sent to guests on confirmation of payment, It is still camping and you are responsible for your own well being and comfort regarding appropriate clothing and footwear etc. 

In extreme weather conditions at the camp, such as exceptional wind, cold and snow, where existing and / or forecast we do our best to warn guests and give guests the option to move dates for guests safety and wellbeing without being subject to the cancellation policy administration handling charge, or loss of any monies.

PAYMENT 

We take 25% deposit to secure your booking,  full payment is due a month prior to arrival. 

Cancellation Policy 

If you cancel your booking 3 months prior to arrival we will refund fully deposit.

If you cancel your booking less then 3 months prior to your arrival we will do our best to let the yurt again and, if we do then we will refund the deposit/payment in full. 

Children under 2 stay for free – please make sure you ADD children above age of 2 when booking your stay with us online. 

Damage deposit -  group bookings 5- 10 adults £500 damage/non compliance deposit;  group over 10 -20 adults we require £1000 damage/non compliance deposit, groups over 20 adults £1500 non compliance /damage deposit. Damage/non compliance deposit payable during the final stage of payment. The deposit is fully refundable and payable back to you within 3 days after check out. Please provide your bank details for refund of deposit. 

Deposit will be kept if you DON’T adhere to our T&C re noise, music.  In the event of guests not adhering to rules we will keep the deposit and ask you to leave the site. 

We take payments via BACS, cards/credit cards via our online booking system and paypal. We don’t take payments over the phone.

CHECK IN AFTER 4PM  (for arrivals later then 8pm we will email you self check in istructions) 

CHECK OUT 10AM (extended check out available for small fee; please agree check out time prior to arrival as we host various events on Sunday and we may not be able to accommodate your request at short notice) 

Wood - we provide 1 basket of logs for each yurt included in the price. If you require more logs for your wood burner or for the camp fire outside please ask the staff before 6pm as we may not be here afte 8pm in order to sell more logs. 

Bag of 10 logs £7

Fire lighters - we provide enough fire lighters for your stay however if you for some reason need more they are 0.20pence each. 

DURING YOUR STAY

Guests and visitors agree to be considerate tenants and to take good care of the yurts and facilities during their stay. Guests and visitors agree not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests or our neighbours.

Should any facilities, equipment, or inventory, be damaged wilfully, as a result of inappropriate usage or behaviour, or a as a direct result of failing to respond to instructions from Company staff you will be held responsible for the cost of repair dor replacement of that item or we will keep your deposit. 

The company cannot accept responsibility from any loss, damage, or expense arising from industrial action, terrorist activity, adverse weather conditions or any other event outside the control of the company. For clarity, this includes guests parking their cars, and driving throughout the site, entirely at their own risk. Please make sure you lock your car and don’t leave any valuables in the car.

MUSIC - music is not allowed on our site due to peaceful nature of the site and due to the site being shared with other guests. Non compliance with this T&C will result with the guests being asked to leave the site and  deposit not being refunded. 

NOISE - no noise after 10pm. We kindly ask you to respect the site and others guests.  We ask all guests (including children ) not to make noise after 10pm.  In the instance of noisy behaviour or distribution to other guests stay we may ask you to leave the site and this may affect the deposit not being refunded. 

HAZARDS

By it’s very nature Surrey Hills Yurts is a campsite in a natural environment. In working to preserve and enhance the woodland and it’s bio diversity, and create a sense of freedom which is part of the charm and why many people come, there are natural hazards, tree roots, poisonous plants, and extremely limited lighting after dark, and depending upon weather conditions, cold, wet and slippery surfaces. Standing dead wood is one of the rarest habitats in lowland England as such you are welcome to explore the woods but please mind branches that may come toward earth. Rabbits and other wild animals are present locally and also on site, rabbit holes, undulations, and sharp objects may be present so please be careful when walking around the site. 

Use a torch at night.

Children 

By Booking and coming to Surrey Hills Yurts you agree to be responsible for your children and any dependants of children you are in charge of, and your own welfare and to take all reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to the woodland, facilities and yurts, such as regarding litter, fire, noise after 10pm. 

All children under 18 are responsibility of the adults.  

In the event when children sleep overnight by themselves in the yurt and adults sleep in separate yurt;  no wood burners or candles are allowed  inside yurt overnight due to the fire hazard and safety of the children. 

Anything you bring to the campsite or wider woodland and any damage or loss to your possessions is at your own risk.

You use the facilities and amenities at the camp and wider woodland at your own risk, e.g. the communal area. Candles and tea lights that are used in the yurts and anywhere else on the site must be within the candle lanterns and containers when alight. NO NAKED FLAMES- use candles only with the candle holders. Any damage to wood burners or flooring caused by the naked flames/candles will be liable for repair/replacement.

Please DO NOT USE  play dough  or paints in the yurts  as we may ask you to cover any damage caused by the paints/play dough. 

PARKING 

Strictly on car per yurt. 

Large groups – please arrange as per below extra car parking spaces.

We have space for in our car park for 1 car per yurt; we do however can accommodate extra cars for a fee of £15 per weekend per car at nearby field/farm. Please do let us know if you have more then 1 car per yurt. 

Please don’t leave any valuables in the car. 

CHILDREN

By Booking and coming to Surrey Hills Yurts you agree to be responsible for your children and any dependants of children you are in charge of.

MISCELLANEOUS

BBQ - if you are using disposable BBQ please make sure you don’t place them directly on the grass as this will kill the grass and leave bear patches for at least 6 months. Please use some wood or stones to place under the disposable BBQ. 

Shoes - we kindly ask you not to wear the shoes inside the yurts.

Dogs - no dogs allowed on site other then owners working dogs; they are not running freely on site during the guests stay. If you arrive with dog we will ask you to leave the site. 

Tents - no tents or camper vans allowed on site. Additional tents allowed in the instance of the entire site booking (please no pink or bright colours) Special conditions/charges apply - £35 per tent. 

Gazebo/paddling pools - not allowed on site.  Special conditions – in the event of extrem hot weather conditions we allow you to bring gazebo/shade – NO PINK/BRIGHT COLOURS – please let us know the colour of shade/gazebo before bringing it with you. 

External guests – we allow maximum of 2 guests per yurt to visit you during your stay, charged at £30  per person per visit for the use of the facilities. The parking is not provided for the guests. They may use our neighbours field for the fee of £20 for the stay. The guests need to leave the site by 9pm. Maximum of 10 visitors for large group booking. 

Activities/External parties - we arrange for all activities and external suppliers. Please speak to us if we can’t accommodate your needs we will of course take alternative suggestions. The parking is not provided for external suppliers. Charge for each external supplier for small parties £80 for  up to 50.  The supplier / catering Is responsible for making sure the rubbish is disposed in designated areas including food waste inside compost bins. Failure to do so will result in deduction from damage/non compliance deposit for sorting the rubbish by staff. 

Farm produce – we can supply with our free range eggs, free range sausages and bacon. Please do let us know at least 24hrs prior to your arrival. We can also arrange for Breakfast hamper or Indulgence Hamper – let us know at least 48hrs before the arrival. 

HOT WEATHER CONDITIONSCAMP FIRES – we understand how important camp fires are to our guests however during prolong dry weather conditions during the summer time we may have to put the ban on the camp fires . We will give you as much notice as possible that we have to put the camp fires on hold due to the FIRE RISK on the fields. We will only take this decision in very exceptional circumstances where fire is dangerous to human life an livestock. BBQ will be still allowed on site. We offer you to move your stay to alternative date. No refunds.

LOGS – one basket of logs is included in the price per yurt. You can purchase extra seasoned logs on site. Please don’t bring logs purchased from external outlets to the site just in case they are not seasoned as this blocks the woodburners. 

The wood burners are for burning wood only – no coal allowed to be used in those wood burners.

If you are looking for a unique and memorable way to make a hen party special, then Surrey Hills Yurts can provide a beautiful setting in the countryside to celebrate an unconventional "back to nature" Hen Weekend.

Set in the tranquil Surrey Hills, you can book our entire glampsite? You’ll have the place all to yourselves and an experience to remember!

We offer six yurts, sleeping up to 26 adults and 2 bell tents sleeping 3 each. Total of 32 aduls could be accommodated on site. 

We have a large communal kitchen area, luxurious shared bathroom facilities and beautiful wooden compost toilets. 

There are lots to do and see in the local Surrey area and we can help to put on some activities like wild food tasting or outdoor cooking experiences.

Terms and Conditions

We welcome Hen’s that love the outdoors and who want to get away from the traditional city hustle and bustle! However, we do have some terms and conditions that would need to be considered before booking to ensure we are the right venue for you.

  • Noise to be kept to a minimum at all times out of respect for our neighbours.
  • No noise after 10 pm - you can stay all night at the fire pit if you wish 
  • No non-biodegradable glitter, confetti due to our wildlife friends in the meadow.
  • No guests on-site that are not booked into the yurts without prior agreement.
  • Any no-accommodation guests, agreed to attend, must provide full names prior to the event and an additional fee will apply.
  • Details of any suppliers of activities, to be held on-site must be provided in advance.
  • Any items moved from yurt to yurt must be returned to the original place before departure.
  • All rubbish must be placed in the wheelie bins provided.
  • Security deposits will be held with regards to damages or non-compliance with the above.
